Summary:
These guidelines have been prepared to help public sector organizations planning to conduct a self-assessment exercise using the Common Assessment Framework (CAF). Based on the experiences of previous CAF users it is recommended that the stages described are taken into account when planning a self-assessment in order to maximize the value of the process. The application of these guidelines also helps ensure a certain degree of standardization of the assessment-process itself.
